Since the sections have returned after the summer break they have all been taking part in plenty of adventurous pursuits.
The Beavers had a day at Heatree House – wet and muddy games – just what they like!
Some of the Scouts attended the County Camp at Woodlands in which they had the whole day in the park on the Saturday – Sunday wasn’t quite so pleasant due to a heavy downpour all day, but all came back fully entertained. Thank you to Rora House to allow us to hang up the wet tents!
And finally we had 2 Cub teams and 3 Scout teams taking part in the mini 5-Tors event on Dartmoor. Setting off from Hexworthy they each followed separate routes (alongwith the other 200+ Cubs and Scouts) across the moor taking in Fox Tor, Nuns Cross and Royal Hill Rocks.
4 of the teams followed a 16km route, whilst the older Scout team undertook the 22km hike. All teams completed succesfully taking between 6 to 7 hours.
A fantastic achievement by all who took part. Well done everyone!
